The above video is from the same sunset as the above video, but this clip was captured without panning/movement. This is a good example of a relaxing "low output" video for use in the suggested "screensaver application". Also, we have dubbed over the silence with "nature-scape" music from the "Sounds of the Everglades" compact disc.

January 7 2010 - Red Sky at Night...
Day 7 of the prolonged "Deep Freeze" was sunny and the warmest daytime temp for a while at about 62 degrees. Warm enough to get out for some exercise in the heat of the day, well bundled up. They are predicting a slight upward trend into the weekend at which point they forecast near freezing dips in the temps by Sunday...
January 4 2010 - Another chilly day, high in the mid 60's, but sunny and nice out of the wind...
September 3rd, 2009
The cloud line at the top of the above video was a front moving into the glades from off of the ocean, and as contrastingly colorful as it looks in the video, it was quite a bit more impressive with the naked eye, the clunky video camera just does not do the real thing justice. Also, this was the last take that we got out of the camera tonight, as it did get even more colorful, but then the camera went into the increasingly irritating power down mode...
February 08 2010 - Nice day, a little cloudy, a little cool...

June 5th, 2009 - Mid Sunset
August 10th, 2009 - So calm, the water was a mirror (and mosquitos were abundant)
August 11th, 2009 - An old adage, "a still night, and noseeums bite"...
February 17 2010 - Nice day, sunny, but only made it up into the mid 60's, chilly at sunset...
February 14 2010 - A reddish pink sunset for Valentine's Day
At the close of a sunny but very chilly Valentine's Day, the wind had laid at sunset, and the temps had started the overnight plummet from the low 60's into the low 50's. Not quite as bad as this morning when it plunged all the way down into the low 40's with a bit of a wind chill on top of that. A merciless winter here, almost too cold to get out during the day unless bundled up with layers of heavy clothing, looking forward to summer when we can get back to shorts, flip flops, and a thin t-shirt (or not).
February 16th, 2009 - After Sunset with full color coming on
Note that the above video is one of many that we selected from this day's sunset, and that additional videos of different stages of this same sunset may be found in the February archives if you would like to gather more takes for use as suggested on the "screensaver application" page...

A spectacular sunset, as I myself the webmaster gal went along with the video guy this evening, and after the fact perusing the many glorious captures of this evenings sunset, I am absolutely amazed at how much better the real thing was than what is conveyed by the videos. Our low end vid cam loses so much detail, we hope to upgrade soon to provide a much better view of what we see with the naked eye...
.October 28th, 2009 - Thunderheads like this one are rare outside of summer months...
