Far removed from the warming/melting arctic/antarctic polar regions -- where most of planet Earth's inhabitants dwell -- this winter has been noticeably more severe than normal, with colder temperatures along with more snow and ice, in tandem with the abnormally high flooding in tropical regions around the world such as Australia, China, Brazil, and Colombia. This of course gives illogical "fuel to the fire" of industrial "big business" backed "deniers" which ignore the actual facts and blabber that if it is colder and snowier and icier where we all live this winter then there just can't be no global warming...so its gotta be global cooling instead...so let's all just be ignorant and go on belching out gazillatons of industrial toxic pollutants into the atmosphere (the air we must breathe)...and certainly we cain't not bother to waste any of our precious money just to slow down something that doesn't even exist...and if global warming does exist then let future generations spend their money to deal with it...it ain't our problem now as long as we deny it...
Being used to this deceptively obfuscational blabbering of devious deniers while also observing that the big business owned mainstream puppetized bobblehead media shills ignore the truth behind the mounting weather problems, we were astounded last night that said mainstream media (ABC evening news) featured a short blurb about this winter's abnormally cold/snowy/icy weather and the fact that it was caused by the fact that the [documented] warming in the polar regions [and elsewhere around the planet] results in ice melt/runoff and pushing the arctic cold air masses and moisture further south out of the arctic, more often, for longer periods, over wider regions than normal, producing the more severe winter weather.
Although the ABC news admission was overly succinct, it did clearly spell out the fact of the reality that just because it is colder in some regions of the planet, that does not mean that global warming is a myth. We could further document the many points that substantiate the facts that global warming is a much too real reality, but will not attempt to do so within the limited confines of this blog post.
What we will do though, is note the following factoid of interest, which will provide a tip of the [melting] iceberg of information if you might be interested in the scientific basis of the "global warming causes colder weather" scenario...
An online search using the keyword phrase "cold weather global warming" returned 741,000 results, roughly 99.99% of which confirmed the title of this post "Global Warming Causes Colder/Wetter Winter Weather". Here is a link that invokes the search.
Editorial Comment. We hope that at some point the greedy, unconscionable "deniers" will realize that the beleaguered masses have finally become aware of the truth that the planet is warming and will become embarrassed enough to shut the hell up so that we can do the same and get on with doing the right thing...
