"Before bringing freedom to Afghanistan we should have considered bringing freedom to South Florida". -- Jon Stewart
Pompously obnoxious South Florida is not only bereft of "freedom", but -- among many, many other blatantly severe deficiencies -- arrogantly pretentious SoFlan's are woefully devoid of any kind of "social conscience" (aka, manners, civility, courtesy, kindness, compassion -- but heck they inherently don't don't even know what that "stuff" is...). Witness an article on that subject in today's Miami Herald, entitled "Social conscience in short supply in South Florida", which touches upon the nefariously odious bamboozling buffoons that now infest the pestilently verminous swamp that is South Florida.
Disclaimer One. We confess that we do not feel that everyone in SoFla is an obnoxiously rude jackass; we do encounter some nice people here on occasion; why just the other day we ran into a couple from the midwest that had only been here for about an hour, so they were still fairly nice (altho they had shocked looks of indignation on their faces already -- it does not take long to become infected with the highly contagious "rudeness disease" that is so ubiquitous in SoFla, even by the mosquito hordes which inject the blood of local scumbags into new arrivals)...
Disclaimer Two. The above approximated quote is an attempt to reconstruct from memory the basic implication of the original quote, and is not exactly the same as original wording; but as they say, "it's the thought that counts", and this says it pretty well about the state of Floridumbia.
