July 1st: we have recently begun work on three other planned websites, which require a significant amount of our time. The time allotted to maintain this website has consequently appreciably decreased. The resultant major deleterious effect on this site is that we will henceforth supply considerably less effort in the area of the archives. We have to date attempted to present at least one video of each days sunrise and sunset, but starting with the June archives we will only maintain the best or most unusual videos. We will attempt to document textually any significant conditions that might have been noted regarding any particular date whereupon a video was not provided for it...

Purpose of this Archive. The main video webpages are intended to feature primarily daily videos at the top, then a few videos for the last week or so, followed by some of the better videos from the last few months. So, when we clean out older videos from those webpages we migrate the videos that we consider to be "keepers" here to the archives. The intent of which is to retain them for potential viewing by newcomers, to serve as a repository for videos that might be desirable for downloading, and for observing differences and similarities of sunrises and sunsets over time.

Note that rather than consolidate all categories of archived videos into one, we will maintain them separately by video category (sunrises, sunsets, and broadwalk so far) and even by time frames within those categories where necessary to avoid overloading a webpage with too many embedded videos.

All comments were unintentionally deleted. We assure you it was nothing personal, was purely accidental, and of course the deleted comments were not recoverable without losing a great deal of work… The site admin has learned a lesson and promised that this error shall not occur again.
