The popping sound in the above video is raindrops pattering on an umbrella (you might find it amusing that the video guy does not like to get wet, and is not real fond of sand, this in our wet and sandy island abode...). Note that the rainfall on this day broke an all time record here for this date (the "dry season" does not officially end until May), and this after a three month record breaking drought - ya think this might be "climate change"?

Somewhat of a break in the weather after yesterday's record breaking day-long rainfall in the middle of a record breaking drought. Long time residents agree, this has been the cloudiest, coolest, windiest, and except for yesterday the driest winter that we all have ever experienced here -- but we are not complaining, compared to "up north" (where they have had their share of exceptionally unusual and not so pleasant weather) it has been a delightfully sunny picnic here...
