April 19th, 2009 - Kayaking at Sunset

April 20th, 2009 - Storms rolling in across the Everglades

We have a request from local chamber of commerce tourism people to point out that although the weather was stormy this evening at sunset (the videographer almost got caught in a downpour right after capturing the above video) and was similarly inclement this morning if you caught today's sunrise video, that most of the day was actually very nice and mostly sunny here as usual...

April 21st, 2009 - Before Sunset, beautiful evening with nice clouds...
.

April 21st, 2009 - After Sunset, a little breezy but nice color...
.

April 22nd, 2009 - Sunset from Whiskey Creek Bridge

Not much of a show this evening. The videographer admits to making a mistake by going to this alternate location tonight and apologizes for camera movement -- he states that this was due to being incessantly attacked by innumerable "no-seeums" (which you should try to avoid if you closely peruse the webpage at this link). Ah, the risky travails of a videographer: wind, rain, lightning, bugs, cold, heat, sun exposure, dangerous people - so many risks, so little reward, so much criticism...

April 23rd, 2009 - Beautiful evening but devoid of colorful clouds...

April 29th, 2009 - Shimmering waters, finally windless, with cloud reflections before sunset...

April 29th, 2009 - Shimmering waters, as the sun sinks below the wetlands tree line...

Note that the video guy brought back an interesting clip tonight of a "party boat", which I decided deserved posting about the seventh video down the Boats page if you might be interested in seeing how the "local locos" behave on their evening cruises on the intracoastal (not 'R' rated, but not necessarily for the kids either)...
